Billing & Subscription

Settings > Billing & subscription is the first-class home for everything related to your plan and payments. You can get here directly from the Settings sidebar — you do not need to navigate through any other settings page.

What You Can Do Here​

  • View your current plan — See which plan you are on (Foundation, Starter, Professional, or Business), its price, your subscription status, your billing cycle, and your renewal date.
  • Open the Stripe billing portal — Click Manage billing (or Open billing portal under Payment methods) for card updates, invoice history, and PDF receipts.
  • Cancel — Cancel your subscription from this page or from the Stripe portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
  • Start a subscription — If you do not have one yet, the page links you to plan selection.

Billing actions are owner-only: only the company owner can open the billing portal or cancel.

Two things this page does not do
  • There is no "Change Plan" button. Plan changes are not self-serve — email info@contractorscopeai.com and we will move your subscription.
  • Usage is not shown here. Your AI usage, chat, render, and voice-minute counters live in the Usage & limits panel on the main Settings page.

Every plan carries the full core workflow and the customer portal — the differences between plans are your monthly AI usage allowance, included seat count, storage, contact capacity, QuickBooks integration (Starter and up), and support level. Additional seats beyond a plan's included count can be added for $15/month per seat, flat, on every tier. Billing is monthly or annual — annual is billed once for the year. Note that annual plans do not carry per-estimate overage: Stripe requires one billing interval per subscription and the overage meter is monthly, so an annual plan stops at its allowance instead of billing extra.

There is no free trial: signup requires a card and your plan is charged immediately. Every new subscription carries a 30-day money-back guarantee instead — see Account and Billing.

Your monthly allowance counts each AI-assisted analysis or refinement step, not just completed estimates. A wizard flow that asks a clarifying question and you answer it uses 2 units for that one estimate (the initial analysis plus the refinement round); an analysis you start but never save as an estimate still uses 1 unit. Fewer clarification round-trips means fewer units used.

The AI voice assistant ($79/mo, 250 minutes), AI chat ($39/mo, 500 messages), Visualize ($39/mo, 50 renders), and Property Analysis + Project ROI ($29/mo, 200 property lookups) are separate add-on subscriptions on every plan — none of them is included in a plan.

Property lookups are the one add-on with no automatic overage: at 200 lookups they pause until the monthly reset, or you can buy a $19 top-up for 100 more lookups right away (requires the add-on already be active; purchased lookups expire 365 days after purchase). After Cancellation​

  • You keep full access until the end of your current billing cycle.
  • Your account and data stay in place — nothing is deleted automatically when a subscription ends.
  • You can start a new subscription at any time from this page.
  • To have your data removed, delete the account explicitly (Settings > Delete account), which starts a 30-day grace period.
Export before you leave

If you cancel, export your data first. Go to Settings > Privacy & exports and click Request Export. You will receive a ZIP file with all your estimates, clients, and settings.
