Telegram Notifications
ContractorScope AI can send your notifications straight to Telegram, so you get alerts on your phone without checking the app. Connecting takes about a minute and you only do it once per device.
Before You Start
You'll need the Telegram app installed on your phone (it's free, on the App Store and Google Play) and a Telegram account.
Connecting Telegram
- Go to Settings → Notifications.
- Under Mobile channels, turn on Telegram.
- ContractorScope AI generates a one-time connect link that opens our bot, @ContractorScopeAIBot.
- Click (or tap) the link. Telegram opens to a chat with the bot.
- Press the Start button at the bottom of the chat.
That's it. Once you press Start, the bot links your Telegram chat to your ContractorScope AI account, and the Telegram channel in your notification settings shows as Connected.
The connect link is a personal, time-limited deep link of the form https://t.me/ContractorScopeAIBot?start=<token>. The token in the link is what tells the bot which account to connect, so don't share it. If the link expires before you use it, just toggle Telegram off and on again in Settings → Notifications to generate a fresh one.
What You'll Receive
Once connected, the notifications you've enabled are delivered to Telegram in addition to wherever else you've chosen to receive them. You stay in control of which alerts go out from Settings → Notifications — connecting Telegram only adds it as a delivery channel; it doesn't change which events notify you.
Disconnecting
To stop receiving notifications on Telegram, turn off Telegram under Settings → Notifications → Mobile channels. You can reconnect any time by toggling it back on and following the connect steps again.
Troubleshooting
| Issue | What to try |

| The connect link doesn't open Telegram | Make sure the Telegram app is installed. On desktop, the link opens Telegram Web or the desktop app. |
| I pressed Start but it still says "Not connected" | Give it a few seconds and refresh Settings → Notifications. If it still doesn't connect, toggle Telegram off and on to get a fresh link, then press Start again. |
| The link says it's expired | Connect links are time-limited. Toggle Telegram off and on in settings to generate a new one. |
| I'm not getting notifications after connecting | Check that the specific notification types are enabled in Settings → Notifications. Connecting Telegram adds the channel but doesn't turn on any alerts that were off. |
